CBD FAQ

CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the most prominent cannabinoid found in industrial hemp plants and is a cannabinoid devoid of psychoative effect, which means you will not become intoxicated if you consume CBD. After THC, CBD is by far the most studied cannabinoid.

There are two methods of CBD extraction that are currently being used today, C02 extraction and ethanol extraction. Ethanol extraction is significantly more efficient than C02 extraction, and produces higher amounts of full spectrum cannabinoids. The only downside of ethanol extraction is that it creates high temperatures, which makes it possible for thermal degradation to take place. We eliminate this possibility by using a cold ethanol extraction process.

All products at VB Labs are legal because they are derived from hemp and no prescription is required. Our products are legal for air transport and we ship discreetly to all 50 states and internationally.

CBD Isolate has been used for various Investigational New Drug (IND) applications. GW Pharmaceuticals has an approval pending with the Food and Drug Administration for a drug with CBD as the active ingredient.

Although you should always consult a doctor before using any treatment, people around the world are using holistic CBD oil to successfully treat a variety of conditions.

Our bodies possess an endogenous system called the endocannabinoid system. This system contains cannabinoid receptors that respond to cannabinoids. Theses cannabinoid receptors physically interact with cannabinoids initiating cell changes and producing effects that can holistically provide relief for a wide scope of ailments and symptoms.

Hemp and Marijuana are both types of cannabis. Hemp has under 0.3% THC. Marijuana is defined as more than 0.3% THC. Although CBD can be found in marijuana, it is not legal in marijuana. CBD from hemp is legal. Hemp is cannabis that is naturally rich in CBD while most marijuana is cultivated for maximum amounts of THC. When hemp is grown from specific cannabis varieties that have even higher levels of CBD naturally, it doesn’t make legal or practical sense to obtain CBD from marijuana.

Because the federal government considers hemp distinct from marijuana, cannabinoids found naturally in hemp oil and hemp products face no legal restrictions and may be freely imported to the United States and in most of the industrialized world.

No, CBD is non-psychoactive. It will not create a cerebral high like with marijuana use.

Our products use full spectrum oil which contain less than 0.3% THC.

All of our products are made with full-spectrum CBD oil. This means they have naturally occurring terpenes, and other cannabinoids such as CBN and CBG. CBD is sometimes used as an umbrella term to cover a wide variety of cannabinoids. Research shows that these cannabinoids work together to enhance the benefits of using CBD. This is known as the Entourage Effect.

Full-spectrum cannabinoid-rich hemp oil is much more effective than a pure cannabidiol isolate due to synergistic properties of the other cannabinoid compounds and terpenes contained in full-spectrum hemp oil. Cannabinoid rich hemp oil is truly a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.

Hemp CBD products in order of fastest absorption are vaping, tinctures, topical application, then pills/gummies. Vaping Hemp CBD has nearly instant absorption, while sublingual Hemp CBD will absorb in a few minutes, and ingestion methods can take up to an hour.

Terpenes are organic compounds that can be found in many plants including hemp. They are added to enhance flavor and compliment other cannabinoids to improve the health benefits of CBD oil. New research has shown that different terpenes have mood altering effects that can do everything from reducing anxiety to stimulating creativity.

A phytocannabinoid is a naturally occurring compound produced by the cannabis plant. There are 113 known phytocannabinoids in cannabis including CBD and CBG. In addition to phytocannabinoids, there are also synthetic cannabinoids used as drugs and endocannabinoids. Synthetic cannabinoids are artificially manufactured, whereas, endocannabinoids are naturally produced by humans and animals.
